DAY 2 - NEGAMBO - PINNAWALA, SIGIRIYA

After the Breakfast Leave for Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. As you enter the 25 acre coconut property, do not be surprised to witness baby elephants being bottle fed or moving around freely causing absolutely no harm to anyone. It is rightly a sincere sight to observe how these gentle giants - orphaned and sometimes three-legged - are taken care of since 1975 at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
After that we will be climbing the 5th Century "Fortress in the Sky" named as Sigiriya. Built by King Kassapa the fortress was a Royal Citadel for more than 18 years. The fortress (A UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE) is of unusual beauty, rising 200 metres from the scrub jungle. The base of the rock is ringed by a moat and rampart and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens.

DAY 3 - SIGIRIYA - KANDY

After the Breakfast Leave for Dambulla and Mathale Spice and herbal garden. The Rock temple is a cave temple which dates back to the 1st Century .BC. Its rock ceiling is one large sweep of colorful frescoes. From Dambulla drive to Sigiriya, a 650 feet high rock fortress in the sky, a masterpiece of construction, artistry & irrigation. A world Heritage Site (5th Century AD). The world famous fresco paintings of Heavenly maidens are housed in a cave..Then Proceed to Kandy.
Kandy – The hill country capital is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is famous for the Temple of the Tooth which houses the most sacred religious relic, the tooth of the Buddha.. In the evening you will visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic. Thereafter enjoy the Kandyan Cultural show at the Kandyan Arts & Cultural Centre. The show features the graceful and rhythmic dancers and drummers culminating in an impressive.

DAY 4 - KANDY - NUWARA-ELIYA

After breakfast visit the Kandy lake, Gem Museum and Royal Botanical Garden. Then proceed to NuwaraEliya En route visit Ramboda Waterfall and Tea Factory.
The beautiful town of NuwaraEliya, set in the heart of Tea country and situated 1890 meters above sea level.Visit Gregory’s Lake, Tea Plantation and scenic beauty.

DAY 5 – NUWARA-ELIYA - GALLE

After breakfast you can travel Nuwara-Eliya to Ella by train (optional). After lunch proceed to the world famous Galle Fort. Galle-located 116 km to the south of Colombo on the southwest corner of the island-was founded in the 16th century by the Portuguese. It is the best example of a fortified city built by Europeans in South and South-East Asia, showing the interaction between European architectural styles and South Asian traditions. Galle has been declared a World Heritage City by the UNESCO.
